Third Class 2024/25

3rd class were very busy last term. As part of Heritage in Schools we worked as historians finding out information about Athlone Town. We were lucky to have Martin Curley as our guide for the day.

During Science Week, we investigated and presented experiments- ‘Tornado in a Bottle’ and ‘What causes static electricity?’. We had lots of fun demonstrating the projects to the other classes.

During December, we wrote narrative stories. Our title was ‘The Naughty Elf’. The children came up with brilliant ideas and read their stories aloud to the class.

3rd class performed a Christmas concert called Ralph the Reindeer to the school and their family. They had lots of fun learning the songs with all their actions and lines. They thoroughly enjoyed it all!

We look forward to a jam packed Term 2!
